birefringently
phase-matched materials (KTP, BBO, AgGaS2...) arranged for
walk-off
compensation and stacked (by optical adherence or diffusion-bonding,
which insure no boundary losses) to form a monolithic periodic array
whose effective walk-off is reduced as compared with a bulk crystal.
